About the event
Open Variations Theater is proud to present a multimedia reimagining of Bekah Brunstetter's wonderful 'little' tragicomedy.
Melody finds herself in a new role that she doesn't quite fit into - that of a good little housewife. Before she can figure out if that's what she really wants, her husband, Craig, dies on a business trip. Grappling with loss for the first time in her life, Melody has to come to terms with her disapproving mother-in-law, Hope, who presents herself as an 'expert' on grief, and deal with Craig's paralegal, Brad, who is struggling with the loss of his mentor as well as his connection with the new widow.
Melody takes us on a crash-course through love, loss and the ways in which we cope and come to terms with our reality.
