About the event

The NYC Fundraiser for 1518: The Dancing Plague - Produced by Hannah Ponturo, Jeremy Cohen, Sophie Smith and Tallulah Jones

Join us for our exciting NYC fundraiser to support Hannah's new play, 1518: The Dancing Plague, as it makes its way to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe! This event promises a Saturday evening featuring a staged reading sneak peak of some scenes from the play, followed by a summer evening on the terrace to mingle and celebrate!

About the Play

1518: The Dancing Plague is a satirical comedy set in the year 1518, inspired by the infamous mass hysteria that led to uncontrollable dancing. The chaos of the plague, both absurd and dire, reflects uncanny parallels to the crises of our modern age, making it a relevant and thought-provoking piece.
